About Deal or No Deal - The Flash Game
Deal or No Deal is a popular weekday afternoon game show on Australia's Channel Seven. The goal is to choose a case, then eliminate other cases across several rounds, narrowing down the possibilities for their case's contents. After each round, a bank offer is made to entice the player to stop playing. This simple concept made for an entertaining television show, so it was only natural someone would try to rip it off.
That someone was me.
Fed up with the lack of a DOND computer game, I built my own. It began as a barebones production and ended up as....well, a barebones production. Lets face it, with a budget of $0 and about 10 man hours what else could it be? However, the final product was much prettier, an 'again' button was made, and the bank offers were more competant and closer to the actual offers of the show.
Soon, word spread about this little game, answering the desperate call of Australians for the chance to experience the thrill of DOND without leaving the comfort of their own O'Keefe-free home. During the month of July '05 the site received 662 hits, a slight increase on the 32 hits it had since its launch in March....and most of those were me. According to Yahoo Geocities, many people have come to this site from forums, so thank you to anyone helping spread the word.
Now don't be disappointed, but there isn't much chance of this game being improved or updated. Unless another little in-game error is found, I really don't have the expertise to make it much better. Still, this game is really just a filler until a proper, fully-fledged DOND game is made.
