I have just returned from the annual meeting of the WW&F RY in Alna ME...Had a great time riding in coach #3 behind #10 engine which was steamed up for the official start of the season in Alna!

#10 steamed very well, had no problem handling the flat, caboose and coach over the grades out of Sheepscot. Several of us got off the train at the north end of track, beyond the half mile marker, and walked up to Humaston brook. The old trestlework remains partially in place but probably only out of habit.

Most of the longitudinal stringers are rotted/gone with only 2 seemingly having any substance left to them. A walk back to end of rail proved that the line is going to be a spectacular walk with a camera to capture various shots of the consist as it works each day.

I continue to be impressed with the ability of the volunteers to accomplish all they do each year on the property.
