Reported to Great Lakes Naval Hospital as Staff Corpsman on 7S (Neurology and Neurosurgery.) Passed ML through Chief and passed HN (E-3), had to wait for time in grade for E-4 Test.

Worked nights during this Christmas due to being "an Excellent Corpsman, dedicated to taking care of his charges,etc." (Shafted again by the system) Might of been my last Christmas but due to another Corpsman who's turn in rotation couldn't be trusted I pulled the tour. My last tour of nights was 2 weeks before. Should have been a good time for me to say goodbye to all my friends at the USO in Waukegan. Instead ??? At least I knew my charges would be taken care of without any worries.

(Pictures taken of my brother after I was Medically discharged and he was drafted fall of 68 and in VN Oct of 69) (My Brother's 20th birthday) Transferred to CG 1st Marine Division, REIN, FMF, RVN, on thirty day Leave.
