Friday, July 23, 2004 New beginnings. So much has happened since my last post. My life has changed dramatically and for the better. It was a long process and arduous process but totally worth it. Since then, I've traveled across the country, lost almost 15 pounds in weight, started a business and failed at it too (it was an excellent learning experience regardless), started working at a hardware store, learned that there's more to life than sitting in front of a computer all day, started work at SF State which requires sitting in front of a computer all day (though the money is good!), learned how to ride a motorcycle, purchased my first bike, working on getting a mechanical engineering degree, and finally I'm working on a new game idea with Calvin using Torque. The ME degree maybe more difficult to pull off than I expected given my work schedule, but I'll take one class at a time if necessary. Monday, March 31, 2003 Wow, it's been six months since I accessed the Transformers Remake website so brinkster shut it down. I'm going to post my game schedule at the link instead. Sunday, February 2, 2003 It's been about a month since I last updated this site. The new job I have at 3DO as a game tester just eats so much time out of my day. But I'm still working hard everynight on the Transformers Remake. I've added TrueType font rendering to the graphics system, created a new system for organizing rendering, and with the help of a friend, reorganized how external libraries are used. For the moment, I'm going to put aside porting over the changes to the C# engine. It just takes to much work to put a stop on all the new features I want to work on in order to rework old stuff for the editor. I don't know if this is a good idea, but it's killing me how slow things are progressing. Anyway, at the moment I'm working on procedural texture generation for dynamic clouds, smoke, and other effects.
