CHART COMMENTARY The 2nd single from the 4th album "S4! Sash!" was "Run", with no other than Boy George on vocals, giving the track a very nice disco feeling and a complete new sound for Sash!. Just as with the 1st single "Ganbareh" so did "Run" well in some countries and and not so well in others. Spain and Denmark continued to rock to the new Sash! sound and sunny Greece joined in with a #16 peak and a #1 position on the dancefloors on the Greek Islands in the mediterranean. Hungary also liked this sound. Again did Sash! also chart a top 50 single in the native Germany. On the dancefloors did "Run" perform a little bit weaker than "Ganbareh", but overall so is it very hard to know which of the two first releases from "S4! Sash!" who did best in the charts, judgre for yourself. Maybe the proof will come when both singles get released in the UK eventually... Sascha (Sash!) himself said he was suprised and disspointed at the performance by "Run", it seems like even Boy George was not enough for it to be a worldwide smash. However it's far from Sash! weakest success, and proved to be a decent hit in many countries around Europe. NOTE: "Run" have not yet been released in UK (and Ireland) and in Australia, positions from those countries will be here whenever "Run" charts in them. |
