"Just Around The Hill" was the 2nd single from the 3rd album "Trilenium", featuring the lovely Tina Cousins on vocals, formely known as the vocalist on "Mysterious Times". Before release, the expectations on "Just Around The Hill" grew. People in the buissnes had said that it would be a big hit, and it started to get planned to be a christmas release, but that turned out wrong. "Just Around The Hill" got it's release in spring 2000 instead.
It was an instant airplay hit, aired on many radiostations through out Europe but also on the music channels like MTV. Sash! also turned up on MTV Europe to do promotion for it on "Select" (no longer existing). However the result in the sales chart was a bit of a small disspointment, it was still a hit, once again top 10 in the UK with the #8 spot and it scored well in Scandinavia, but it was still far from the success of "Adelante" (well, what can beat that track?)
The video was shot in Thailand and is one of the most beautiful Sash! videos to date, with smooth white environments.
It's hard to speculate why this beautiful ballad didn't beccame the hit many believed, but it could have been just because it was a ballad! The ballad version was released as single in Germany and Benelux whilst the dance radio edit was released in Scandinavia and UK. Looking at the chart results where "Just Around The Hill" scored Sash!'s lowest chart position in Germany to date, you come to think that perhaps the audience was not ready for a ballad from Sash!? Well, who knows but perhaps it would have gone a bit better if only one version was released.
However, "Just Around The Hill" was a hit in some European countries, in the UK and in Australia and a big airplay hit, not that bad after the storming success with "Adelante"...
