Spring, 2006
Carol is learning about computer graphics using Paint Shop Pro. Her work will be displayed on this web page.
Carol created a spring greeting by using Paint Shop Pro layers, and different opacity settings .
Carol created a delicious graphic of dripping chocolate. She used vector text and the draw tool to create the drip. She used the Sculpture effect to make the drip look like chocolate.
Carol created some framed images for homework.
Carol created some flowers using the Freehand Line and Colored Edges Effect. The flowers were supposed to look like a water color painting. She then exported the file as a Picture Tube and then created a heart wreath.
Carol created some flowers using the kaleidoscope effect and then she tubed the flowers and made this image.
Carol created some images for our lesson Imagination Images. She combined different parts of photographs and then used Picture Tubes and text, and special effects with some of Paint Shop Pro's tools.
Carol created a collage from family pictures by drawing a freehand selection around a subject with added feathering. She then copied and pasted the selection onto a new image as a new layer. Because each image was on a separate layer, she could rotate them to add an eye-catching effect. She added her text on another layer. Her edges were quite unique.
Here is another collage Carol did for homework which displayed photos from cruises that she and Charles took.
Carol created some kaleidoscope flowers and then created her name from the flowers.
Carol used a floral textured effect to create a frame for a mermaid.
Carol used a diamond mask to created this frosted flower effect.
Carol created an image using the Hue and Cry Filter to make easter eggs. She was thanking me for sending her the instructions for installing the filter.
Carol created a Halloween greeting by using Paint Shop Pro's Picture Tubes.
Carol created a Kaleidoscope Easter Egg by using the Picture Tube tool and the Kaleidoscope effect. She then animated the egg using PSP's Animation Shop.
Carol created a Easter logo for homework because it was a little difficult to get the Happy Easter text to go around the diamond shape without a lot of time to tinker and class time ran out.
Carol learned to create a simple oval mask using the Selection Tool with an ellipse shape.
She created a mask using a freehand shape on this flower.
Carol learned how versatile masks are by creating a mask from a photograph this time. She used a duplicate image of the parrot, but deleted the image and added 2 bright colors instead. The photo of the parrot was the mask which allowed the colors to show though.
