What is the truth? Did John Dillinger grow up wanting to rob banks because he was influenced by reading books about Jesse James? Many people think so, but I really doubt it.  I also like reading about Jesse James but I've never robbed a bank, and have no intentions of robbing banks. However, if I were alive back in 1933, I might have even considered the occupation, with the Great Depression, and all. If the Judge of Dillinger's first offence would have given him a lighter sentence, would we have ever heard of the name John Dillinger? Probably not, but there would have been someone to replace him, and the FBI would had made sure of that. Speaking of the FBI; today the Bureau is a top leader in solving the nations most complex crimes with the aide modern technology, super computers, and intelligent DNA testing.  But the FBI still lacks honesty, and  would rather cover-up their errors than admit to them. Even today, the FBI goes to great lengths to protect their polished image at all costs. A lesson that was taught well by the square-faced, deceitful Director, J. Edgar Hoover.

In the process, they did manage to kill on innocent man, and wounded two others. Right: The rifle was found under Dillinger's bed after the gang fled. The FBI in the nineteen thirties were not much different than the early posses of the western days. Justice in the western era, sometimes consisted of a group of men, a tight rope around the suspected thief's neck, and hopefully a quick death as he drops off the back of a horse. The FBI would simply shoot "suspected criminals" in the back as they ran, hitting a few innocent bystanders in the process. This injustice without a fair trial was very common in nineteen-thirty-four.  Hoover didn't really care who died, or was injured, as long as the criminals were captured or killed, and the Bureau received the credit. Why is it that it takes years to learn historical events that occur in America? It takes 30 to 50 years before the Government will release documents involving criminal acts.  Is this postponement of releasing vital documents to protect the innocent or perhaps the guilty?  What are these top officials trying to hide? How many lies does it take to coverup the truth? The FBI claims they are an agency based on honesty, and Integrity.  If this is true, than why are they constantly caught trying to coverup the facts? As the author of "Dillinger, The Hidden Truth," I'm not trying to make the FBI look like the bad guys and John Dillinger look like a good guy, I'm just stating the facts the way it happened. After 30 years of indepth research on the criminals, and lawmen of the early years, it's time to learn the whole truth.
John Dillinger in 1934
Was John Dillinger assassinated in the Streets of Chicago for political reasons? Did he indeed go for a weapon and resist FBI agents at the time of his death.  Was Dillinger's death one of the biggest coverups in FBI history?  New evidence brings forth the shocking indisputable facts like never brfore.  It's time to learn the whole truth. No more FBI fairy tales. It's time to lay all the cards on the table.
John Dillinger's wanted poster. The man who Hoover wanted more than anyone, except perhaps Clyde Tolson, but thats another story. Note: The poster indicates they wanted Dillinger dead or alive, note the word DEAD in large bold letters. This statement suggests the bureau  wanted him dead.  While Dillinger was free to rob banks, the FBI would never be respected.
Above: Homer Van Meter, Dillinger's last criminal companion. He warned Dillinger not to go out in public or he would eventally be caught or killed. One month after Dillinger was killed by the FBI Van Meter would also meet his end. He was shot 37 times by four St. Paul officers on August 23, 1934 as he ran for an alley.
