More about Me... Sure, it's busy, but it's just for fun...!!

Alright alright....!! I'm relenting and creating a page with a little more information about me than my original pages. First, let's see...I am a young lady in my early 20's, American of African descent,
+ = me!

and not horribly bad to look at. Hmmm...what else? Well, here are some things you might not have known:

  • ~~I love to make people laugh...sometimes at my own expense.

    I have found that laughter is the best medicine for so many things. The person who can laugh through adversity is one lucky person.

  • ~~I'm a hopeless romantic, and sometimes can be kind of gullible.

    One of these I consider a great strength. I love to cherish the one I'm with. I believe you should always show the one you love how much you care for them, and give yourself whole heartedly. Now, THE OTHER ONE...it is one of my greatest weaknesses. I always wanted to have a great trust for society. Always wanted to believe in them. Like Luke Skywalker, I feel the good in them. But time has begun to make me a cynic, and I find that I am increasingly losing faith in humanity. Sad, ain't it?

  • ~~I'm gay...

    I didn't turn gay all of a sudden. The truth is that it was with me for as long as I can remember, but I tried to hide it. Mannn....never try to deny part of yourself. It only leads to confusion, self-hatred, pain, and sadness. Be who you are. It's not worth it to try to be anything, or anyone else....


  • ~~I'm a virgo, as you may have guessed by the virgo symbol at the top of the page, and I'm a pretty laid back, peaceful person.

    If you ever see me write "\/" at the end of a message, chill...it just means I'm wishing you peace. It's just something I wish to people on a regular basis...because I wish we all had it....


  • ~~I yearn for the old sometimes....

    I must admit, I get a little nostalgic...a li'l misty eyed when I think about old days, and old things...like videogames! I loved the original Nintendo, and Atari games.
    I also miss the old cartoons like Jem, The Smurfs, Thundercats, and The Transformers. I could go on and on about that, but you'd still be sitting here many many moons from now, so nevermind!!


    But man, what I really miss from my younger days is the music. Most of these new people coming out in both r&b and rap must have forgotten about the music they grew up listening to. The good stuff. Like Common said, if you grew up listening to Marv Gaye, why are you singing 'bout "do me" and "freak me" baby? It don't make no sense. I miss artists like Anita Baker, Terrence Trent D'Arby, and Regina Belle. I miss songs like "Mama Used to Say," "Tender Love," and "Ready Or Not."
    I miss the hip hop from back in the day, like MC Lyte's "Cha Cha Cha," Chub Rock's "Just the Two of Us," "Steppin' to the A.M." by Third Bass, and "Self-Destruction," where MC's were actually talking about something more positive - not this studio gangsta bullshit about shootin, and killin this and that nigga. Nor was it about that bullshit of look at all the diamonds, and cars, and clothes, and hoes I got. Non-creative bastards just don't want to take the time to think of anything worthwhile. They wanna ride the dick of...er...should I say, ride the wave of other non-creative "artists" like Puffy. And any artist can fall prey to that wave - have you peeped Jay-Z's lyrics lately, and compared them to how they were on his first album? Clothes, bankrolls, and hoes, huh? Riiiiigggghhhhhttttt....


  • ~~But enough of that... I'll go on and on about that too.... Lastly, I do have a stance on religion, but there's one thing I've learned over time. That is:

    There are two things you don't bring up for discussion in mixed (opinion) company - politics and religion. You'll end up arguing for nothing, because no one will budge, and everyone thinks they're right. So I won't go into that...!!


    Well, enough of this stuff! I hope you enjoyed this little trip into my psyche. It was just a little something to give you some insight into where I'm coming from.
