Episode 9: Sub-Zero Ice Punch
After crash landing on an ice frozen fragment of what once was Infinity Mountain, Tai and Agumon start to scout the area around. Just after they notice that the fragment that they're on is slowling moving away from Infinity Mountain, than the black gear contrlled Figimon assults the group. By working together, Tai kicks Agumon soccer style onto Frigimon's back, and Agumon uses his pepper breath to destory the black gear. Frigimon thanks the two stangers, and informs that that he saw another creature like Tai with a Gabumon land on another fragment of island. By using his Sub-Zero Ice Punch, Frigimon begins to make a land brige to the fragment that Matt, obiously the other "creature" with the Gabubon, landed on. Matt on the other hand is searching for TK in the blizzard that is occuring on his fragment. After Gabumon convinces Matt to rest in a cave near a fire, Gabumon himself decides to look for TK. Minuets later, Gabumon finds Matt out in the cold, near frozen. Gabumon makes a warm bed out of leaves and his own fur to protect Matt from freezing back in the cave. By morning, Tai, Agumon, and Frigimon have reached the fragment where Matt and Gabumon had landed. Tai's shouting wakes Matt up, just as Gabumon snatches his fur back. Matt also notices that Gabumon has a cold. Outside the cave, Tai, Agumon, and Frigimon meet up with Matt. Matt asks Frigimon where TK is and Frigimon hasn't the slightest. Tai says that TK is not improtant as finding a way back to Infinity Mountain, and Matt argues that they need to group up with all of the others before returning to Infinity Mountain. Tai and Matt begin to argue, and when Tai makes a joke about Gabumon's cold, Matt tackels Tai, and the two boys wrestle towards a cliff. Before they reach the edge, and Tai is about to throw another punch, Matt begins to sob that all he wanted to do was find TK, little and all alone, and ends the fight. Before the two can move away from the cliff, Mojamon appers and like Frigimon, has been taken over by a black gear. Agumona nd Gomamon try to help, but are two weak from their encounter with Devimon. Mojamon severs the edge of the cliff sending the two boys and digimon down. Luckily for them Figimon breaks their fall, and he had found food. With the food, Agumon and Gabumon are able tod digivolve, and with some help from Figimon, are able to remove the black gear from Frigimon, as well as destroying the black gears, controlling the fragments movement, sending it back to file island. Matt and Tai forgive each other, and realilize all they can do is wait, and hope that the others are able to make it back to Infinity Mountain.
