Episode 19: Prisoner of the Pyramid
Still in the destert of Server, the group has stumbled across one of Etemon's remote acess terminals. Izzy hooks up his laptop to in and he suddenly gets an e-mail from someone named Datamon. In the e-mail Datamon agress that if the Digidestined will free him, he will give them the crest they seek, and TK and Sora are only only crestless Digidestined. Meanwhile, Etemon is still having troube with his network and a Gazimon flunky tells him that all of the malfuntions lead to the "Pyramid" where Etemon has imprisoned Datamon. Etemon decieds to pay that "bucket of bolts" a visit... The kids have now left the destert and have entered a canyon of some sort. TK's tag begins to glow, and with some help from Tokomon, TK finds his crest on a canyon wall. With the wall removed it reveals a cave behind it. The kids enter the cave, which like the Perpetual-Motion factory, and the Temple of the Digivice, has the symbolic laguage Izzy has been studing. Izzy easily transaltes the languague wich reveals to the kids that the Digiworld is a physical representaion of the "real" world, and that physical copies of themselves exist in the real and Digi world. With this information Tai begins to think that the Digiworld is a computer-cartoon adventure, and nothing can happen to him. Izzy is also able to call up a map of the Digiwold with this new information, and concludes that with one click, he can find the person who sent them the e-mail. Izzy enters the information and the back end of the cave disapears to reveal the Pyramid, with Etemon's trailer parked in front! Later that night Sora has doubts about going into the Pyramid just to get her crest. Tai conforts her and tells her that it'll be okay. The next morning Tai, Joe, Izzy, and Sora with their digimon plan to get the crest, while Matt, TK and Mimi with their digimon stay behind. After getting past the single Gazimon gaurd Tai, Joe, Izzy, and Sora try to find the back entacne to the Pyramid. Etemon hears them, and just as he looks, Tai and the others find the entrace, which was an invisble. By using the invisble wall as camouflage, he payed triks on Etemon and two Gaizimon, which sora was not to happy about. Tai, Sora, Joe and Izzy with their digimon travel down the passageway only to find an eletric fence they must cross. Izzy finds the invisible entrance and Tai fearlessly crosses through, while the others are a bit reluctant. Inside of the eletric fence is Datamon's imprisoned in glass. He explains how after battling with Etemon (and loosing) he was forced to maintain Etemon's network, and over the years he has gained some contol of it.. Datamon also gives them instuctions on how to free him just as Etemons steps in. The digimon digivolve and Tai quickly releases Datamon who uses the glass to try and strike Etemon, but he misses and hits Birdramon instead. Birdramon de-digivolves and Soar rushes to Biyomon's side. Outside of the Pyramind Matt and Mimi sense trouble and they leave TK to help out the others. Inside the Pyramid, before Etemon can do anything, Datamon grabbs Sora and wisks her and Biyomon into an invisble wall. Tai and the others try to go after her but they come across another eletrified fence. Tai, thinking that he is indestructable, tries to go though before Izzy finds the camouflaged part but Joe restains Tai. Izzy explains to Tai that the Digiworld is for real, and "pain still hurts". The now informed Tai is too frigtened to go after Sora, and he just stares at the fence. Etemon bust through the wall behind them defeating their digimon. Matt and Mimi arrive just in time to save them, but Sora is still somewhere inside the Pyramid.
