Episode 16: The Arrival of Scar Graymon
After their close encounter with Etemon at the Koromon village, the group has now somehow managed to end up in the desert, looking for their next crest. Tai is now begining to form thoughts that only he and Agumon now have the power to go to the next level (which they do). When they stop to rest, Tai concludes that in order for an Ultamate Divivolution, Agumon will need lots of food, so Tai "barrows" the others rations and stuffs Agumon with so many furits he begins to look like a Thanksgiving turky! While watching Tai stuff Agumon, Joe notices that his crest begins to glow. Tai uses his pocket telescope and spots a colossium, where the crest must be. Withouth thinking, Joe runs off into the destert, only to trip on one of Etemon's cables moments later. In Etemon's trailer, Joe had tripped Etemon's signal, and he finds out the group is in sector L-7, by the colloseum. He tells the Gazimon of L-7 to prepare for the arrival of the kids. Momemts later the kids and a very tired Agumon reach the colosseum. Tai helps Joe and Gomamon look for Joe's crest while the other find a soccerball, and start doing a few tricks. Just as Tai is about to yell at the others for goofing off, Etemon appears on the "jumbo-vison" screen at the colosseum. The kids run off inside a soccer goal for protection, leaving tired Agumon behind. The goal closes into a cage with an eletified net as Tentomon finds out. Etemon releases his own Graymon, so Agumon digivolves to protect the others. Agumon/Graymon is too exhausted to give up a good fight and is slowly getting beaten by Etemon's Graymon. Inside the goal/cage Joe discovers that a tile on the floor is his crest, and when the tile is removed, it reveals a secret passageway. The passageway leads them outside of the cage, and Tai knows that another condition for his Graymon to digivolve again is to put himself in danger. To save Tai, Biyomon and Gabumon digivolve to Birdramon and Garurumon. Tai runs behind Etemon's Graymon and tosses a rock at hit, and when it turns around, Tai's crest begins to glow. His Graymon begins to glow with an strage bright red fire, and his Graymon digivolves to the evil Scar Graymon. Scar Graymon quickly tosses Etemon's Graymon aside and heads for Tai. Birdramon and Garurmon try to save Tai but they are too weak, so Tentomon digivolves to Kabuterimon, but is also too weak. Scar Graymon, looking for more prey, leaves the colosseum but all of his evil power has been used up, and he dedigivolves to Koromon. Tai rushes to Koromon, who apologies for attacking the others, but Tai says he is the one who should be apologizing, and ask for forgivness from Koromon and the others, and promises that he will never try to be the boss of anyone ever agin.
