Episode 3: Garurumon
Tai and the other Digidestined servey the ocean, where they had been in a second digimon confrontaion for that day: Shellmon. But the Digidestined are no safer on the cliff becuase they have been spotted by a Monochromon. As the Monochromon advances on them, a second Monochromon appears, and while the two Monochromon fight, the Digidestined have enough time to escape. They walk through the forest for the rest of the day untill Mimi cannot go any futher. Tentomon sees a lake that they can rest by, and they head for the close-by lake. At the lake they see a lone cable car, which lights up as the sun begins to set. The group decies to rest there for the night. Izzy and TK fish for dinner while the digimon collect fruits from the forest. After Agumon starts a fire, they all enjoy their dinnder. After dinner, Izzy mentions that at least one person should keep watch while the others sleep. Matt and Tai get in an argument over who should take watch first. Joe settls the score by decaring Tai watch first, then Matt, then Izzy, and then himself. That night in the bus while the others are asleep, Matt asks Gabumon to warm up TK. Gabumon remarks that Matt is a loving brother, and Matt just gets embarassed. Outside, Tai is keeping watch with Agumon when he sees Matt. Tai ask Matt about his relationship with his brother, and Matt tells him that they live in seperate homes (with divorced parents) and Matts just runs off. Tai Matt finds himself a quiet spot and begins to play his harmonica. Gabumon hears the noise he joins Matt, and listens to his music. Back by the cable car, Tai and Agumon's fire begins to shoot out sparks, and an ember lands on a red fin... that belongs to Seadramon! Sedramon aries and with his fin embedded in the pennsula (of the lake) that the cable car is on, he pulls off the entire land mass, making the pennsula an island. Seadramon takes the island with Tai and the others into the middle of the lake. Seadramon releases his fin from the land mass and begins ramming the island he created. Matt and Gabumon see this on a faraway shore, and they both dive into the lake to save the others and TK. No matter what attck the digimon use, it only stuns Seadramon. TK is shaken off the island, before Matt can reach it, but is saved by Gomamon. Gomamon returns TK back to the island, just as Sedramon knocks Gabumon out of the water, and drangs Matt under the surface. Seadramon wraps up Matt with his tail, and the others are helpless. In order to save Matt, Gabumon is able to digivolve to the next level! Gabumon digivolves to Garurumon, and Garurumon is able to free Matt. Garurumon and Seadramon begin to fight, with neither of them winning until Seadramon uses his ice breath. Garurumon counters it whil his Howling Blaster, that takes Seadramon out! Garurumon dedigivolves to Gabumon, and Matt and the other thank Gabumon for saving them. Tired from the long night, Joe, Izzy, TK, Sora, and Mimi fall asleep by the shore of the lake. Matts plays his harmonica, and Tai listens from behind a tree, and they rest there for the rest of the day.
