Episode 8: Evil Shows his Face
Finally, the Digidestined have made it to the halfway point of Infinity Mountian only to discover that they are on an island, are are begining to loose all hope on how they might be able to get back home. On the other side of the mountain, Leomon is partrolling the area for danger. Without warning Ogremon appears, and the two begin to battle. Their battle ends though when Devimon appears, and commads them both to work for him, because the Digidestined are here. Shocked by this news, Leomon beings to attak Leomon for threating the Digidestined, but Devimon doges Leomon's attack and uses his touch of evil to make Leomon obey him. Back on the Digidestined's side of the mountian Leomon and Ogremon appear weilding his knives and clubs. Knowing that a black gear (or something evil) has touched Leomon, the digimon digivolve to protect the kids. During the battle Devimon notices how the kids and digimon's team work makes them stronger, and he begins to plan a way to seperate the kids. By creating an avelanche, He, Leomon, and Ogremon escape. Tired, the digimon dedigivolve, and the kids head back down the mountain into the forest for shelder. They oddly find a mansion in the middle of the forest. Too tired to argue, the kids enter the mansion and smell food. Once again too tired to argue, the kids and digimon unquestionably eat the food. After the feast, the kids and digimon take a nice warm bath, and settle down in rooms on the upper floor. Now that they are comfortable Joe remarks that they have been gone form the real world for more than a week, whcih brings the group back to reality: they have no way home. After eveyone is alseep, Tai and Agumon excuse themselves to use the restroom. Outside in the hallway, Leomon, Orgemon, and Devimon appear. Leomon chants that he must destroy the children, while Devimon shows that the entire mansion: food, bath, and rooms were all fake. He uses his powers to break File Island into many different islands: the forest, the jungle, the desert, and the snow cap. He also uses his power to spread each of the kids and digimon to a different island. Tai is left in the halway with Agumon who can bearely use his pepperbreath. Leomon apprches Tai, and as Tai tries to back away, his digivice comes loose and his drops to the ground in a burst of light. After seeing the light, Devimon's spell over Leomon is lifted, and Leomon sends Tai into the ocean to protect him from Devimon, who uses his Touch of Evil on Leomon once Tai is gone, into the ocean, heading towards one of the many scattered peices of File Island...
