Hold It Down : The Greatest Album Ever Made

Believe me when I say this, Das EFX's third album "Hold it Down" is the greatest album ever made, and it got dissed by the critics so bad. Critics said that the album was too long because it had 20 tracks on it and they dissed it, and then they go listen to some crappy C-Murda album that has something like 28 tracks, and they will love it and say it is a really good album. Just because to the critics for some reason Das EFX's diggedy style is annoying, (I DONT KNOW WHY?) they dislike the album and dis it! They didn't base their review of the album on the lyrics and the beats, like an album should be based on. LYRICS - The lyrics in this album are unbelievable and unstoppable. Krayz Drayz and Skoob are pumped up in every song, and they have to be because of the lyrics they put in this album.  The first track, which is the intro, is surprising because you cant really tell whats going on, its like your in a jungle, then a koo-koo clock rings and then Das screams "wonce again up in the mothaphucin house," and that goes on for a while and then a little record squeakin' and Das is brought on again with "No Diggedy."  This is a great song.   The beat was produced by the god - DJ Premier. The beat really just consists of a hard and strong bass added on by some great lyrics by Das EFX. Moving on - next up, "we must be, knockin' niggas off, knockin' niggas out," another great song, the beat is tite as it can get, and Skoob is really speedy in this song on some parts, sometimes its hard to decipher what he is saying, but it is a really phat song, but keep in mind, this isn't the type of song you want to be listening to with your Mother around, white or black! "Here We Go" - Great song! I love the razor sharp, shark bitin' beat on this song! Its especially tite listening to it in your car or in your headphones! Great song! "To the hip-dip, the hop you dont stop, (dont stop) Das EFX with the real hip-hop, (hip-hop) to the hip-dip, the hop you dont quit, (dont quit) Das EFX and we came to rip chit!" Wonce more, the beat was produced by the god - DJ Premier! It is tite! The lyrics are hard to match and hard to beat. Lines after lines from Krayz Drayz to Skoob, it seems like they are trying to match each others rapping ability. The video for this song makes it even better. RUFF RYDERS - I think you owe Das EFX an apology for stealing their idea for the real hip-hop video! Those dirtbike and quad scenes belong to Das EFX. (Pop, pop, pop-pop-pop-popa) "here it is, do it like this, comin' from the sewer yo you know we neva miss, neva miss!" Here it is, this song is phat! I dont know what the critics were thinkin' when they said the beats weren't exciting enough? Moving on - Microphone Master - phat, wish they would of had the Mobb Deep remix on here instead though. 40 & a blunt - lyrics are tite but the beat needs some work. Buck-Buck - okay song, I dont understand where Das was when they recorded this song, the beat is all scratchy, it just make sense to me. Cant Have Nuttin - really good song, beats good, and the lyrics are good, Das talks about their high school days and how they became rappers. (ALRIGHT...ALRIGHT....ALRIGHT...ALRIGHT...ALRIGHT) "Alright" is a great song! The beat is really kickin' and this is the most pumped up song on the album combining the lyrics and the tite beat together.  GOT TO HOLD IT DOWN! I love how they move in on this song! The lyrics are tite and the beat is unbelievable! GREAT SONG! "Dedicated" is a really good song. Really good beat with some better than good lyrics. "Wontu, ya ya ya, on the mic one time, for your mothaphucin' mind, (READY TO ROCK ROUGH RHYMES) we gonna set it off one time!" Solid Scheme is on this track with Das EFX and it is really good, provided that Solid Scheme are mainly producers, and this is like the first time I heard Derek and Chris speakin' on the mic! "Only a few, will understand and appreciate whats about to happen!" Das EFX and KRS-ONE team up to make this phat song called "Represent the Real Hip-hop." This is a really good song. NEXT UP - "Comin' thru" - another phat song, another great song by Das EFX. I really love this beat and I love the lyrics. Next is one of my favorite songs on the album - "H a r d c o r e  Rap Act" - It starts out with a little visit to the sewer and then - POW! The bass and beat moves in on you and Krayz Drayz speaks on the mic! GREAT Song! "I've got some bad news, here comes the Hit Squad!" PMD is rockin' on this song to help Krayz Drayz and Books keep it real. (not that they needed any help) PMD gives a spectacular performance and I love this song mainly cuz it has such a razor sharp, cutting edge bass! Last but certainly not least, Pete Rock does a remix for Das EFX in "Real Hip-Hop." The beat is great and Hold It Down is great! Hold It Down: The Greatest Album Ever Made.
