The unofficial leader of UG5. A cynical, bitter, and malicious fellow of eighty with a need for absolute control.

Ahli Travis

Son of Lylian and Dahlian Travis. He is a quiet, serious five-year-old who until very recently lived in a jail cell.

Bess

Lyl's personal maid and best friend. Somehow ended up working for the Mayor D'Trav after Travis went into hiding and Lyl was imprisoned. She loves gossip, and can spend hours braiding Lyl's hair, thus providing herself with a captive audience.

A Royal Inspector.

Captain Mahon

Uncle, advisor, and pseudo-Regent to the young King Rikard of Glanndinar.

Dahlian Travis

Lyl's husband and Ahli's father. He is the mayor of prophecy and the Shillite member of UG5. Has plans to better the UnderGround.

Eagle Eyes

The newest member of UG5, representing Glanndinar. Dotes on his daughter, Zasylvia, as much as any UG leader can dote on anyone.

Erwent Frandulette

Lylian's father and the Earl Frandulette.

Kevon Frandulette

Lyl's brother and the Earl Franduleete's heir.

Louise

Mayor D'Trav's secretary. She is intelligent, loyal, and somewhat snappish to those whose presence offends her, such as Bristolaer. Adores the kind, young man appointed as her boss and mayor, and doesn't care a whit that he used to be an UnderGround leader. She will not believe he is still a part of it.

Lylian Frandulette Travis

Travis's wife, Ahli's mother, and the Earl Frandulette's daughter. Spent five and a half years and most of her pregnancy in a high class jail cell.

The young king of Glanndinar.

Rmuul

The unofficial second in command of UG5. Defers only to Adron.

Vasston

The king of Prastias.

Wilfreem

The king of Shillium.

Xavire

The king of Adron.

Zasylvia

Eagle's daughter and Rikard's future queen. Known as Young Eaglet in the circle of UG internationals who know of UG5.

Zureen

The king of Rmuul.
