Path: A New Order Fan (home page) > Computer World > Change The Look Of A New Order Fan!
Other main pages: the NewOrders (with Movement) - Diary - MFTM (my reviews) - Da Qui (Italia) - Links - Site Maps
Also on this page: Site search
As an example, let's make you want to view the site with the old Teletext look. Of course you can chose any other option... what about a site in Impact? ;-)
INTERNET EXPLORER
I have the Italian version, so I'll try my best with the translation but some terms may change... you should find the way yourself anyway with these instructions...
- Tools / Internet Options
- On the bottom left of the panel there should be a button: Colours
Take off the check to the box "Use Windows colours" and chose your colours for background (a dark grey)
and text (yellow)
On the right you can chose the colours for the links: Visited (purple), Not visited (cyan light blue), On mouse passage (red). Keeping the Windows default will do fine though.
Click OK.
- Next to the colours button there must be another one: Fonts
On the left box you can chose the web page fonts: OCR A Extended.
You can keep the current only text fonts on the right box (usually Courier New or Courier) as preformatted text is meant to be shown with those fonts anyway.
Click OK.
- Click OK
And hey, doesn't it look just like the good old Teletext days?
To go back to default options just remember to check the "Use Windows Colours" (white for background and black for text anyway), to
chose violet for Visited, blue for Not visited and red for On
mouse and to chose Times New Roman for the web page fonts.
The site is meant to be seen on an 800 x 600 resolution and you should chose "Medium" under "View / Font size" but works on any other environment...
Netscape
You can chose similar options clicking Modify / Preferences. On the menu you should find options for Fonts and Colours.
Opera
- Click File / Preferences. Then "Browser Look" on the left menu. Under "Fonts And Colurs" take off the check from the "Use system default" box, you can change the options for Normal text and Background.
- Click "Fonts and colors", and chose your "Link style".
