How Weezer ever went from singing about Buddy Holly to hash pipes is beyond me.  They belong in a genre of music I like to call “Geek Rock.” Them and Beck make geek music, and pride themselves on being geeks. So let me get this straight, in real life geeks get picked on and have to put up with bullshit from everyone else who thinks they are better then them. But, geeks in the music world are “cool” because they are the same kind of geeks that you pick on in school and work, but they have guitars and microphones so therefore they are somebody…right? The defense rests.
