• Kyusei EM is considered the agricultural product and is the one that I use because of its versatility.
• Waste Water Treatment EM is the same as Kyusei EM without the inclusion of photosynthetic microbes. Kyusei EM will also treat wastewater, but Waste Water EM will not give plants the additional nitrogen fixing properties found in the agricultural product. When Kyusei EM is used in an environment where the photosynthetic properties are not needed, these microbes die out.
• Animal Probiotic EM is the same as Waste Water Treatment EM with the addition of indigenous intestinal bacteria. This product is superior for a body that is not getting intestinal flora from other sources.

There are at least three producers/vendors of EM in Australia.  The one with which I am most familiar (and I have had a chance to test their products -- I feel that they are excellent) is Crown Organics, aka BM Ecology, headquartered in Stawell, Victoria, which markets their enhanced EM culture as Beneficial Microorganisms™, or BM™; they also market an excellent BM™ (EM) ceramic powder and ceramic shape product, called "BM™- Ceramics Powder" and "BM™-CERA Block".  They also market a bokashi product called "BM™-Earth Power" and another bokashi product -- intended for use in animal feed -- called "BM™-Probiotic Feed".  I have tested their products here in my lab and I am very impressed with them.  Contact info and website info below:

What is BM-1?

BM (Beneficial Microorganisms) is now manufactured in Australia and certified organic by NASAA (National Association of Sustainable Agriculture Australia).  Was originally discovered in the field of agriculture as a soil microbial inoculant and now used in wide range of applications.  The aplication has expanded into livestock, aquaculture, waste treatment, wastewater treatment and other environmental applications. Today, BM has become very popular throughout Australia and all around the world and is now used in over 120 different countries.

What is BM-Earth Power?

Fermented rice bran material,  used as a soil amendment to increase the nutrient level and microbial diversity of the soil.  Used world wide in gardens, composting, and potting mix.

BM-CERA Block

Used in: 

• Bathtubs
• Sugar or flour canisters
• Deep fryers in restaurants (for better taste and longer life of the oil)
• Fish tanks
• Toilets
• Whirlpools
• Jacuzzis
• Swimming pools

Suggested Use:

• Place 1 block up to ton of water
• Place 100g in water jugs, juice containers, or water troughs
• Place in the inflow of the dam or water inlet as a filter system
• 100g ceramic around computer, TV, or microwaves to be effective around 1 meter radius

BM- Ceramics Powder 

Used in:    The electromagnetic wave resonance and far-infrared vibration of the ceramics, strengthens the beneficial microbes in BM.

• Construction to strengthen concrete and to increase the GV (General Vitality) in the building
• Paint to reduce toxic fumes
• Soil to reduce flooding and to strengthen the beneficial Microbes in BM
• Drinking water to minimize and structure the water for better quality water

• Livestock bedding to reduce odor and to reduce harmful bacteria

Suggested Use:

• Mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of paint
• soil at a 1% ratio
• Carpet and wallpaper adhesives at a 1-3% ratio
• Concrete at a 1-3% ratio
• Animal beddings at 50g per square meter
• 30 gms per kilogram of soil amendment or 30-40 kgs/ hectare
