POLICE ALERT ON HOOLIGANS

12:00 - 25 September 2003

Known hooligans have been warned to stay away from Saturday's Forest match against Derby or face being arrested. Notts Police have written to six Derby County fans warning them not to come to the match or the city, as they are liable to be arrested for breach of the peace. The six people are currently already under court or club banning orders. The police have been sending warning letters to known troublemakers for some time and it forms part of the Police and Clubs Together Against Violence (PAC) scheme, which aims to reduce trouble at matches. Forest safety officer Eddie Curtis said they welcomed the move. There will be increased security and police on the day.
