![]() I am in love with the written word, its strength, its mystery, its seductive power. It has become my weapon of choice, my shield, my himation.
![]() This meant a rather short career as an apprentice mime. It also means I have a new found admiration for those silent entertainers. Their task is formidable and not within my own abilities.
![]() My tutor was amazing though he never told me a single thing about the art of mime. And I know he will never write me a letter. But I admire him nonetheless.
![]() I traveled with the carnival to Lydius and it was there that we parted ways. Being a mime was not to be my fate. Lazarus understood and was saddened that I was going. We had initiated a good friendship.
![]() I was not sure what I wished to do with my life. There were so many unknowns and so many available options.
![]() I could travel further north up the coast of Thassa and visit the barbaric lands of Torvaldsland. I could hire passage on a ship up the Laurius and visit the city of Laura, maybe taking a short hunting trip into the Northern Forests. Maybe even capture a Panther Girl.
![]() I could also take passage on a ship headed to the islands of Thassa or some of the southern ports. I had always wanted to visit Schendi.
![]() Or I could return south, and continue journeying south to Turia or Tor.
![]() I spent some time at the slave markets in Lydius, watching some of the auctions. There were quite a variety of kajirae available, from all over Gor. Lydius was quite an eclectic city.
![]() Maybe I needed to purchase a kajira.
![]() A sa-fora could comfort me, tending to my needs and bringing me pleasure. And those were certainly things I needed at the present time. I had sufficient coins to purchase a well trained girl, even a Passion Slave.
![]() I began to scrutinize the markets more closely.
![]() I was becoming resigned to the fact that I would never see Neko again, that my love for her would remain forever buried within my heart. I understood that it could not be. She did not need me any longer.
![]() Of course it was difficult to accept and my heart ached over losing her. But there was nothing I could do about it. I simply had to move on with my life.
![]() Waiting for Neko was futile. It would only bring more heartache. Move on and seek happiness elsewhere. It may never be as good as it was with Neko, but it was better than being alone.
![]() I could always take a proxy slave, naming her Neko and treating her as if she were the actual woman. It was an interesting idea.
![]() I knew others who had done this before. It often lasted only a short time before the men decided to actually collar the woman of their desire. The proxy slave was then usually sold, unneeded any further.
![]() Maybe this would not be the best option.
![]() I should choose a slave who would be pleasing on her own, one who appealed to me due to her individual merits. One I might keep for some time to come.
![]() It would not be easy as I was a demanding owner, a Master with particular needs and desires. It would take time to locate what I sought as I would not rush into the matter. I wanted to be satisfied with my choice.
![]() So though I examined the girls in the markets of Lydius, I felt that I would need to visit the markets of several cities before finding the proper kajira to sate my desires. My review was more to familiarize myself with the current market trends, something I had been out of touch with since becoming a Warrior.
![]() As expected, none of the girls truly whetted my appetite. They were beautiful, sensuous and alluring, but there was not anyone special. Just typical kajirae.
![]() I hired passage on a ship headed to Schendi, the alleged home of the Black Slavers. It would be an interesting city, in an area I had yet to explore.
![]() I attended one final auction before I left, a small private one hosted for some of the wealthier inhabitants of the region. My prior connections as a Slaver had garnered me an invitation to this exclusive event.
![]() I had little expectations though of what I would find there.
![]() Only eight girls were being presented, mostly Passion Slaves. There was also an Exotic, a poison girl. It was a rarity to see such girls at auction. Almost always they were sold in private sales.
![]() It was the last girl of the auction though who made the event truly worthwhile. She was an auburn-haired beauty, with a luscious figure and pouty crimson lips. But it was her eyes that pierced my soul.
![]() The eyes have always been the deciding factor for me. And those eyes entranced me, intrigued me. Made me desire her, want to claim her, to own her. They were not the eyes of Neko but they drew me nonetheless.
![]() Others saw the unique quality of this kajira as well and the bidding was furious. But I would not be denied. I had to possess this woman.
![]() 500 gold tarns. A phenomenal amount for such a girl, a girl who was not even a Passion Slave. Yet, I would have paid twice that amount to own her.
![]() She had already been branded with the usual kef on her left thigh. I purchased a basic steel collar, having it engraved so that others would know she was owned by me. I also bought a few other necessary items such as a leash and kurt.
![]() For the first time in a long time, I felt a measure of happiness.
![]() My ship was departing the next morning so I had the rest of the night to spend with my new acquisition. She had been previously called Dari but I chose to change that and rename her Tiana.
![]() She spent the night pleasing me, pleasuring my body, bathing and massaging me. She was obviously very knowledgeable and quite adept. Her talented manipulations, in many areas, brought me unbounded pleasures. What an incredible evening.
![]() And I was positive that the more she got to know me, mentally and physically, the more pleasure she would be able to supply. Such a wise purchase.
![]() At times, when we relaxed for a bit, we conversed as well. I found her intelligent, witty and intriguing. It was fascinating to hear her views on matters, to understand how her mind worked. I looked forward to further conversations.
![]() And Tiana was pleased as well. I was the type of Master who truly lit the fires within her belly, who excited her soul. And she would refuse me nothing, and willingly so.
![]() I was amazed that someone like Tiana had simply come along when I least expected it. I had never believed that the market in Lydius could meet my needs. Yet such things sometimes happen, a strange synchronicity of events.
![]() The sea voyage to Schendi would almost take a couple of Hands. Nights aboard the ship were so beautiful, the stars and the moons high in the sky, reflected in the calm waters of Thassa. I even observed two shooting stars one night.
![]() I spent a lot of time with Tiana, getting to know her and training her according to my preferences. I did not have a need for the whip or any other form of strict discipline. She was an ardent student, eager to learn and quick to absorb the information.
![]() I was the envy of many of my fellow passengers. Tiana acted superbly in public, absolutely obedient, properly deferential and astoundingly alluring. I had several offers to purchase her though none of the offers tempted me in the least.
![]() I garbed her in a short rep-cloth tunic, cinched at the waist by a red slave girdle, helping to pull the thin fabric tight against her seductive body.
![]() She remained by my side throughout the entire trip, usually properly heeled to my left. I could not have asked for a more obedient kajira.
![]() And thoughts of Neko settled deep into my heart, finding a spot to reside. I was moving on with my life and could not spend time bemoaning the loss of Neko. She was gone and it was over.
![]() With two days remaining on our voyage, we ran into trouble. Cosian ramships. Pirates, all painted green so they would seem almost invisible on Thassa.
![]() We tried to outrun them but we ended up surrounded. And unless we surrendered, we would be attacked, rammed. The men aboard the Schendi ship could not defeat three pirate ships.
![]() The Cosians wanted only our cargo and any women aboard our ship. They did not want our ship.
![]() The crew turned over the cargo and the other passengers turned over their slaves. There had not been any free women aboard. Most sailors considered free women bad luck on a ship.
![]() Only I refused to surrender precious Tiana.
![]() I drew my gladius and told them Tiana was only purchased by steel. The pirates passed the word onto their captain.
![]() The captain then boarded our ship, accompanied by seven men with ship bows.
![]() The captain was a tall man, lean and wiry. He wore a gladius at his hip and a strap of throwing daggers across his chest. He did have a commanding presence. And a thin, jagged scar just above his right eye.
![]() But, I told the captain the same thing I had told his men.
![]() I would not surrender Tiana without a fight. Wars have been fought over slaves. Fror Tiana, I would battle some pirates at the very least.
![]() The captain’s eyes roamed over Tiana and he understood my reluctance to surrender her. And he also desired to own her for himself.
![]() “Cede her to me and you shall live, Warrior. Otherwise, my bowman must kill you.” Said the pirate captain.
![]() If he had known I was from Ar, he would have killed me outright. But I no longer wore the colors and emblem of Ar. My shield was bare.
![]() “I shall not surrender her to you or anyone. If you try to kill me, I shall retaliate with all the fury of an angry larl. How many men do you wish to lose for one slut?” I replied.
![]() The captain eyed me carefully, assessing my sincerity and threat level. I made him uneasy. Though he might seem to have the advantage due to the bowmen, he still hesitated.
![]() The captain decided not to take any unnecessary chances. He let me keep Tiana and chose to leave with everything else they had taken.
![]() Our ship continued on to Schendi, considerably lighter and thus faster. Some of the passengers congratulated me on my courage. I told them I simply did what I felt necessary. There was no need for congratulations for that.
![]() When we finally reached Schendi, I disembarked with Tiana and rented a room in a small inn. I then went to the common room to get some food and paga.
![]() Tiana knelt quietly behind me as I ate and I tossed her a few pieces of my roast tarsk and some hot Sa-Tarna.
![]() I thought about what to do now. What path should I follow now? Where did I want to take my life?
![]() I though some more but came up with no immediate answers. I then retired to my room, letting Tiana’s talents preoccupy my mind.
![]() I spent the next couple Hands exploring Schendi, savoring its unique atmosphere. It was a joyous couple weeks, reveling in the delights of this exciting city.
![]() Tiana enjoyed herself as well. I bought her a few trinkets to wear, a necklace of shells with matching bracelets. I bought her a few chocolates at a bakery. She was easy to please.
![]() Our nights were filled with passion, Ahns of indescribable pleasures. We grew closer, and my knowledge of her grew. She was an imaginative girl, always devising new ways to please me.
![]() Then, one day while wandering through the bazaar, I bumped into an old friend, a Slaver from Ar called Nori. He was shocked to see me, thinking I was dead.
![]() He had heard rumors that I might be alive but thought they were only rumors. We talked a bit about the old days and I asked him for any news of Ar. I was a bit homesick, missing glorious Ar.
![]() He told me of the latest news, nothing of major importance. Ar was relatively quiet currently. And then he told me of Neko.
![]() She had heard the rumors that I might be alive. She was offering a reward for any information concerning my whereabouts.
![]() Though it was hard, I pleaded with Nori to say nothing to her. I did not want her to know I still lived. She had a new life and I did not wish to interfere. Let her remain happy with Stewart.
![]() He agreed to remain silent on the matter.
![]() We said our farewells and parted. Tiana asked many questions about Neko but I refused to answer any of them. It was not an area I cared to discuss at that time. She was quick to stop the questions.
![]() That night, I left Tiana chained in my room while I went out drinking, hitting a number of paga taverns. I needed some solitude.
![]() I got into a couple of brawls that evening and also defended myself against a thug who sought to rob me as I stumbled back to my inn. I was not in the mood for such obstacles. I am sure they would regret it when they regained consciousness.
![]() When I entered my room at the inn, I unlocked Tiana from her chains and then I collapsed upon a pile of furs. I was asleep within ten Ihn.
![]() Tiana curled next to me to keep me warm.
![]() I woke late the next morning, my head aching but with a clarity of purpose. I should become a Scribe. It fit my current temperament and offered no real danger. I wanted to put my days as a Warrior behind me.
![]() Schendi was a good place to settle. The weather was beautiful, the city exotic and I had found joy here.
![]() I was very pleased that I had finally made a decision.
![]() That day also happened to be the one month anniversary since purchasing Tiana. It was cause for celebration.
![]() We went to the market, my intent to buy Tiana a few special items. First, I got her ears pierced, such a sensuous act. The Leather Worker did an excellent job. I then chose a pair of triple hoops for her for when the initial barbells were removed. Next, I selected a silk tunic for her, a delicate blue with faint images of tropical fish. Finally, I purchased her a large cream pastry.
![]() I spent an Ahn, in silence, watching her eat that pastry rather slowly. I wanted to ravage her right then and there, the image of her with that dessert exciting me. So when she finished her treat, we returned to the inn where I did ravage her for almost three Ahn.
![]() Tiana was extremely grateful that day. And she told me that she loved me.
![]() The next day, I inquired as to obtaining citizenship in Schendi. It would be a lengthy process but I could not go any further without it. I could not petition the Scribe Caste until I had been sworn to the Home Stone of Schendi.
![]() I was running out of money so I took a few brief jobs, generally guard work. I was skilled enough to make a good wage so I was not worried about running out of money. A good sword was always of use.
![]() I began spending time at the library, honing my skills for my future application to the Scribe Caste.
![]() Tiana could not have been any happier. She proudly wore her earrings, relishing the sounds as the hoops clashed together, savoring the feel of the metal on her neck. Her attestations of love were frequent and she seemed to work even harder, if that was possible, to please me.
![]() I had no real complaints with Tiana. My reprimands were few and far apart. I had yet to have any need for my whip. There was no question that she brought me exquisite pleasures, uninhibited bliss.
![]() It was only natural that my feelings for her intensified. Maybe it was not yet love, but I could foresee that possibility in the near future.
![]() It is said that the greatest form of love that exists is between a master and a slave, the love master and love slave. No love is thought to be deeper or more complete. No love is thought to be stronger or more intense.
![]() Yet such love is said to be extremely rare.
![]() Could the love felt for a free woman ever truly compare to the love between a man and his slave? Was the absolute surrender of the slave required for a man to feel the deepest of loves?
![]() I once thought I had the answers. Now I am no longer sure.
![]() The next three months passed quickly. I became a citizen of Schendi and was accepted into the Scribe Caste. I was to work as a scholar, writing books on various subjects. I would choose a specialization over time.
![]() They were happy times. And during that time, I fell in love with Tiana.
![]() I had moved on with my life. I was content.
![]() And I wished that these times would never end.
