Calling all Parents....volunteering is very important to our organization. We can not rely continually on board members. They have kids that ride also and would occassionally like to watch them or maybe take a night off...We have the largest track in the country but we don't have the volunteers to coordinate with those numbers. If you would like to work in registration, knock on the door and ask...if you want to work in the snack bar..See Peggy Mahoney or Chris Crouch...We will never turn a volunteeer away. We can always find a spot for you on or off the track. Turn officials, staging,running, announcing,starting, 50/50,..We also have need of your particular skills. Since we are a non-profit group, if you have a talent or skill that we might be able to use instead of having to pay for it...all the better. Plumbers, electricians, you name it..we can probably use it. It's important to get involved. When your child plays baseball, parents are REQUIRED to spend time in the snack bar. What makes us any different? We don't REQUIRE it but we sure could use the help.You can make a difference at YOUR track.

Well, enough of that. So what's up? I've been seeing so many new riders at our track. We are growing so quickly and can only expect more. Especially with our next Open House coming up in May. I hope everyone can work together and with our new riders and make them feel at home. We tend to forget that we were Rookies at one time. (pause...to reflect..)yes, the good old days...

Pick up your Okee T-shirts and support your track. We need to start putting some money back in the coffers as we spent alot fixing up the track for Hurricane Nat'l etc.
I'm also thinking of doing an Okeeheelee Bmx Calendar...what do ya think? would you buy one?
