Our House...
In this constant world of changes life just keeps getting better! Even though the maples are gone Tim's little one still gives the yard and it's play area a
two thumbs up!
This is our house in Ohio.  It's not fancy or prestigous it's just an average home for an average type of life. We are comfortable here as we know all our neighbors and live within walking distance to everything.  But then again most people in Bluffton can claim the same thing.
So many leaves and nobody to play in them... the last pile I'll see from my trees *sigh* it's a mixture of sadness and relief
One of the things being  we've learned to live with is fallen leaves.  When Debi's daughters were young they provided a great adventure as while raking the leaves took on many forms since they hid bodies so well. To think one was done raking to just see the leaves spring back to life with a giggle as a small face would appear in a sea of oranges, browns and reds.
These days the leaves lay quiet since the girls are grown and the boys are in Arkansas for fall.  We have tired of raking and took the maples out this year. Perhaps the crackle of the wood in the fireplace will warm faces and feet while bringing laughter to a home in a different way.
I saw the yucca flowers when I went to California and visited my daughter in the Mojave...I was surprised as these survive our winters.
I photographed these beauties at Niagara Falls and they are definately a part of my plan. *s*
The maples coming down aren't the only changes around our home as a backyard fountain and pool has made an appearance along with quite a bit of landscaping. The serenity of the softly splashing water as it falls over the layers of flagstone washes stress from our lives as we relax. Traveling to so many places has had an affect on the way Debi looks at our yard as she envisions the blazes of color found in blossoms of the many floral gardens. Debi  has photographed many favorites and we hope to be able to work some of the more hardy plants into our Ohio flowerbeds.
Here's Tim relaxing by our pond...next summer I hope to have the flowers at the right decorating the area as well.
Timothy and David appreciate the Eagles Nest and love playing on it!
Mothers Day held the next change for the appearance of the backyard as a beautiful arbor dias was contructed, a peaceful resting spot in the midst of sweet scented flowers and pines mixing in the air.  It was a special Mothers Day for Debi as she sat and watched the magic of our ideas take form and become a reality.  Our yard is quickly becoming the slice of heaven that we've dreamed of.
Let's Play!
Timothy loves playing in the sand and shade!
this beautiful spot has become a vital part of our wedding as we exchanged  vows here!
Our home keeps changing  needs as Tim constructed an Eagles Nest for his boys and their friends to climb and play on.   Eventually all the grass will disappear into a landscaping idea that eliminates the need for mowing in the backyard.  This first step has the approval of the boys as climbing and sliding as well as having their own eagle  nest to hold private meetings and discuss important things is great fun.  The sandbox underneath has already been proven popular with Timothy and Sheree as castles appear and then fall victem to the giant Timothy as he walks across the turrets.  Someday  he'll see the real thing in castles as we hope to visit Debi's daughter in Germany again soon.
Just when Life seems it can't get any better... It Does!
