MY RECIPES

I made these recipes and they’re all really great! Please ask a parent or adult if you need help cooking in the kitchen.

Janet’s Famous Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Everyone has always loved my Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, even my younger cousin that never eats his crust! Needless to say when I make ‘em, he eats it all and begs for more!

Ingredients

-1 tbsp Melted Butter or Margarine
-1 Slice Cheese (American is what I use, but you can use whatever you desire)
-2 Slices of Bread (I love wheat bread but you can use whatever you like)

How to…

1.Heat a large frying pan a little past medium heat.
2.Pour your melted butter on one side of each slice of bread making sure to spread the butter all over the top of your bread(the butter is what makes it so good).
3.Place buttered bread in frying pan with both buttered sides facing up (It may seem weird but the butter sides of the bread will be on the outside of your sandwich).
4.When lightly toasted under bread, flip one slice over and place your slice of cheese on top.
5.Then take the other slice of bread place it’s toasted side on top of the cheese.
6.Press down on the sandwich firmly with your spatula to keep it all in place.
7.When your bottom slice of bread is nicely toasted the way you like, flip your sandwich over with your spatula and toast it the same as you did the other side and firmly press on the sandwich once more.
8.When it’s all nicely toasted you’re ready to put it on your plate and eat! Yummy!

Janet's Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients
-1 LB Fried Hamburger(or you can use turkey, lamb, pork, etc.) meat
-1 small can of corn
-1/2 cup of cooked white rice
-1 small can of stewed tomatoes
-2 cups of spagetti sauce (your choice)
-Garlic Powder (for flavor)
-6 Bell Peppers (Any color you want, I like the yellow)
-Salt and Pepper (for flavor)

Prepare
Add a dash of garlic powder, salt, and pepper to your fried meat in your frying pan and stir together. Add your can of corn, stewed tomatoes, cooked rice, and spagetti sauce to the pan as well. Stir Ingredients until it's all throughly warm (about 15 minutes on med-high). Cut the tops of your bell peppers and clean out the insides. Add your mixture into the bell peppers and place the tops of the bell peppers back on once filled and place on a pan. Place in oven on 425* for 15 minutes. Now take out of oven and eat!

Tip
If your bell peppers wont stand up straight in your pan, try wrapping the base of them in aluminum foil and strunching it up a bit until the bell pepper stands up stright.
