He was captured along with his brothers Andrew Jackson, Martin Jefferson, Jesse H., Joseph Marion and several cousins in the fall of Port Hudson on 7 Jul 1863. Index to Arkansas Confederate Soldiers, Volume III, P-Z, Page 189 shows Wolf, John H.B.: 14 (Powers) AR Inf: QM, Sgt/QM Sgt. Martin Jefferson and Jesse H. were in the Friestone MO unit so not listed in the same publication as the AR Confederate Soldiers as quoted above.
