He married FRANCES CASS 25 June 1820 in Stillington, Yorkshire, England, daughter of JOHN CASS and ANN THOMPSON. She was born 1789 in Stillington, Yorkshire, England, and died 1872 in Prince Albert, Reach Township, Ontario County, Ontario.

A copy of the Marriage Certificate of William Boynton and Frances Cass supplied information. The certificate states William Boynton of the Parish of Dunnington, Bachelor and Frances Cass of this Parish, Spinster were married in this Church b Banns with Consent of those whose consent is required this twenty-fifth Day of June in the Year One thousand eight hundred and twenty. By me Isaac Grayson, Curate. This church is St. Nicholas Parish Church in Stillington, Yorkshire. also copies of photos of the interior and exterior of the church were supplied by Joan Facey taken on her trips to Yorkshire, England. The photos also show the baptismal font where all the Stillington born inhabitants were christened. This is a very old church dating from the 12th and 15th century.

William Boynton was apprenticing in carpentry in Dunnington prior to his marriage. Dunnington is located approx. 15 miles from Stillington.
