Motion Trail Name

Materials Needed: EyeCandy

Open up a new image 400 x 400 with the settings below..

Next click on the text tool from the left hand side toolbar (the A) see below

Then use your mouse and click on the square (your new image) and the text entry box will pop-up ~~ Make sure the ant alias and floating boxes are checked (see red arrow below) ~~ I used plat hand demo and I attached this font to this email for those of you who want it.

Then select ok...You will see your text with ants marching around it...while the ants are still marching around it (see below) ~~

Now go to flood fill on the left hand side toolbar ..and click on it...

Now right click to see the selection tool options....

You may have your tool options just on your screen that will have a drop down menu when you select the little arrow. but those of you who don't ... you can select the tool options box this way...as above...
Now.......go to the little paint bucket on the tool options bar (see below) there are like 3 little tabs on the tool option bar...

set fill style to linear gradient....blend mode to normal and paper texture and match mode...to none....opacity 100...(set as above caption)
Now go to the striped lines tab...this is where we choose our linear gradient...(see below)

I chose electric stripe -- angle 45 degrees and repeats of 5 ... play around with it to see what you like......
Now click on your name with ants still marching around it and (like inside the marching ants anywhere) and it will flood fill with whatever gradient that you chose...
Now go to image/plug-ins/EyeCandy/motion trail (see below)

Now a box like below will pop up...
I chose 20 for length of pixels....90 for opacity and 180 for the direction and in the box just kept last used...play around with this to see what you like...
Once you've got it how you want it click on the check mark of the EyeCandy window (in the top right hand corner)
then you will see your name come up with ants marching and a motion trail behind it.....
Go to selections......select none......to remove the ants.......

Now you can crop as you see fit.....

for new user's here is the capture to choose the crop button on the left hand side toolbar.

then go to image crop and Walla there you have your beautiful cropped name...

Optional.....you can put any tube you would like on the name, but I would suggest doing this before you crop your image. Like the name below !!
