Over My Head is the new Semisonic single!
Semisonic's next single will be Over My Head, and will be in the new film Summer Catch. Over My Head was originally the UK B-Side for Chemistry, but it received such a huge reception from fans and critics alike, that the guys have decided to release it as their next single. However a UK release would seem doubtful, as many already own it on the Chemistry single. Hopefully Over My Head will do better than Chemistry and Get A Grip, especially if it becomes the theme song from the film.

It is still unclear whether this decision to release a B-Side will mean no other releases from AAC.

Dan Wilson @ Bryant Lake Bowl on CD!

Way back when, Dan did a solo acoustic show, during which he did songs like Brand New Baby and some unreleased ones, like Rising. Previously only available on tape, it has now been put onto CD, and can be ordered from the Semisonic store.

New Site News!!!
After a long time stagnating, the site is back and is better than ever. I've added in a lot of new lyrics to the Songs & Lyrics section, including UK B-Sides and a section for the singles, as well as rare and old Semisonic songs.

I've also added in a Videos section with all Semisonic's videos in it. The Audio section is under construction, the problem being web-space for all those MP3s. Hell, if it goes up it will probably only be rare stuff so I don't feel like I'm ripping the guys off. However the big news is theres now a Chat room and Bulletin Board! You'll need to sign up with BeSeen.com to take part in them, but that only takes 2 minutes.

The new electronic Press Kit (EPK) is now running on the official site, and its great! You can check out some really cool interviews with the guys in which they talk about how All About Chemistry came about and how they were totally overhwelmed by the receptions of Closing Time and Secret Smile on both sides of The Pond. however, they mostly just talk about sex. Oh well, they are just guys after all. You'll need Realplayer to watch.
New Road Diary
Jake has written a new Road Diary, chroniclling the band's recent European tour, in which he analyses the way Europeans view Americans and the various aspects of European culture. Its very funny, and strangely all true! Check it out here.
Finally! We have some decent shots of Jake. The official site has been running profiles of the guys. It's a nice change not to have a set of drums in front of Jake's face. No doubt those photos will migrate over to my profile of Jake at some point soon.

Mega MP3 Update!!!

There are now a whopping 10 cracking live MP3's available in the Audio section. All your favourite Semisonic tracks live and acoustic, from DND to Never You MInd, FNT to Singing In My Sleep.

But wait it doesn't stop there, because there are more to come!!!

In the following days, expect to see at least another 4 new MP3s. I am debating whether to put up For The Love Of The Game, and a couple of Dan Wilson @ Bryant Lake Bowl ones, because I don't really want sued. Dan Wilson Live and SOLO Album!
Well its old news now, but its true. Dan is planning on releasing a solo album, and is currently writing songs for it. For a tidbit more information on it, go here.

The other news is that there is another live album by Dan available. Shortly after the re-release of the Dan Wilson @ Bryant Lake Bowl CD, he has released Dan Wilson @ The CCC (The Ceder Cultural Centre). For more info on the CD, and how to order it, click here.
Site Redesign- aye my fat hairy (ginger, apparently) arse. We all knew it would never happen, mainly because DreamWeaver is evil. Who knows, maybe one year down the line I will just take the few hours required and make the minor improvement I was going to do with just hand written HTML.
