You can't visit the North-East, to see an Antony Gormley exhibition, without checking out the Angel of the North, a permanent sculpture based beside the A1 at Gateshead. I didn't realise how big it was going to be - so big I couldn't really fit it's wings on any of the photos, no matter how far away I was, or how I angled the camera. The body of the Angel is based on a cast of Antony Gormley himself (not actual size, obviously). |
