| Barbara Hepworth was one of the better known residents. Nowadays her house is a museum linked to the Tate Gallery and well worth a visit.
In fact it often seems that every other building is an artists studio. Considering the importance of St Ives, it seems natural that the Tate Gallery has a branch here sitting by the sea and in turn it is a major tourist magnet. My daughter and I produced some art here one afternoon while Mum relaxed on the rooftop veranda with a cup of coffee. |
