Herb Cleaver's 80th Birthday Party
Herb's 80th birthday is March 18, 2008. In April 2007, Herb suffered a massive heart attack and was in the hospital for two months. Because his heart had stopped beating for more than an hour, and even though CPR was administered for all that time, the loss of oxygen to his brain caused him to lose much of his memory. His recovery has been slow but steady.
The family gathered at Diane and Rick's house in Oro Valley. The whole family was present: Herb and Dorothy, David and Suzette and their children (Ben Suzi, Andrew, and Katie), Diane and Rick and their children (Josef and April and her husband Justin).
Josef grilled burgers, hotdogs, and bratwurst. April made a potato salad. The rest was junk food and beer and soda.
