Summary: Set during "Non Sequitur". There was more to the meeting 
with Admiral Strickler than Harry knew.



The Examination for Lieutenant - Year 2a (Non Sequitur alternate 
timeline).



Harry looked at the panel of Starfleet top brass in front of him, 
and froze.

"Come on, Harry," pleaded Lasca. "Pull it together. We've been waiting 
for this for six months."

"Ensign, are you ill?" asked Admiral Strickler.

"Yes, sir. I'm very ill. I would like to continue this presentation at 
a later date."

"Well, unfortunately, Ensign, I'm leaving for a three week tour of the 
Cardassian border in a few days. It will have to wait until after 
then."

As they left, the Admiral produced the black centred pip he'd been 
hiding. "I guess we won't be needing this."
