Damage Limitation


B'Elanna sat on the bed and spoke softly.

"Tom, I've got a problem." She paused, choosing her words carefully. 
"I've been using the holodeck. Safeties off. Getting hurt. I haven't 
told anyone. I'm scared to admit it to myself."

There was no reply. She continued.

"I feel like - I feel like I can't live, can't feel. Look, I'm 
working on it, but I need to keep it from you. Everything's twisted, 
and I don't want you to be part of it."

Tom stirred slightly in his sleep.

"You deserve to know, but there's no other way I can tell you."
