I consider myself a rather well travelled young man, and over the course of these travels I have been to over 30 states and 4 countries, and have seen my fair share of awe inspiring things. One thing in particular, however, stands out in my mind as one of nature's most wondrous formations. This formation is called the Søgnafjørd. It is a fjørd in southwest Norway, and is the world's second largest and often called the world's most beautiful fjørd. A fjørd is a Norwegian term for a body of water from the ocean which is surrounded on 3 sides by mountains rising up out of the sea. Norway is famous for its fjørds, and Søgnafjørd in particular is an absolute wonder, with mountains rising right out of the sea thousands of meters into the air. Below are some pictures of the Søgnafjørd, which I saw while visiting my family in Norway.
