What I Learned in Faith, Reason, and Revalation

The most significant result of this class in my life is not something entirely new to me, but the things I have learned in this class, specifically our discussions and readings of the writings of various philosophers, have caused me to further my search. It is a search that is pivotol I feel to my development as a loving and compassionate person; a search, I suppose you could say, for the meaning of life. Though broad, I had been at a sort of stalemate in terms of my own thinking until I was introduced to the various ideas of philosophers and theologians like Pascal, Nietzsche, Reinhold Neibuhr, among others. It is their rational approach mixed with strong faith; whether it be in God or in humanity that appealed to me, and allowed me to further my own personal philosophy. It is a philosophy that continues to be shaped, because perhaps the most important thing I have learned in Junior Faith is that nothing is final, nothing is for sure, and it is pivitol to always be open to change and new, unique ideas.
