Grain Starting Temperature: 60F 
Desired Grain/Water Ratio: 1 quarts/pound 
Strike Water:  6.56 gallons of water at 135F 
First Mash Temperature: 122F 
Second Mash Temperature: 147F 
Boiling Water to add:  3.06 gallons 

Notes: 
Mash in at 122F and rest for 30 to 45 minutes. 

Raise to 147F for 45 minutes 

Use Wyeast #1007 - German Ale Yeast

As of 3/10/99 - This beer had been fermenting in the garage in
two 7-gallon plastic buckets.  The ambient temperature in the
garage  fluctuated between ~38 F and 60 F.  A blanket was
wrapped around both buckets.
