"PL-" indicates "plugs"; and "L-" indicates "whole leaf" Boil temperature of water: 212F Grain Starting Temperature: 70F Desired Grain/Water Ratio: 1 quarts/pound Strike Water: 7.50 gallons of water at 169F First Mash Temperature: 152F Notes: Use Wyeast #1056 (Chico) American Ale Yeast (harvested from an earlier batch) - build a ~500 ml. starter. SCHEDULE: - Burton salts in the strike water. (3 tsp./5 gal.) = 4.5 tsp for 7.5 gallons - Mash for 60 minutes at 152 - 154 F. - Burton salts in the sparge water.
