Mrs. Williams served as Vice President General of the National Society DAR for three years, having been elected to her position at the 108th Continental Congress, April 1999.  She served as State Regent 1995 - 1998, 1977 - 1980, and was named Honorary State Regent for Life in 1980.  She joined DAR in 1963.
After her transfer to Hawaii in 1965, she immediately became involved in her state and local chapters and remains active in both areas, in addition to her national duties.
Major  accomplishments under her leadership include the purchase of six box seats in Constitution Hall; she designed the State Centennial Pin and oversaw a complete update and revision of the State by-laws.

Vice President General of the National Society DAR 1999 - 2002
Mrs. Phyllis Eldridge Williams
Perhaps you were one of the ladies I talked to at the airport, shopping mall or church.  Perhaps you asked about my DAR pin.  Come along, there is much more to learn about DAR.  If you are a prospective member, already a Daughter, or just cruising the Internet, Hawaii DAR has much to offer you.
"Ho'oulu" means to grow.  The Hawaii DAR plans to grow.  Our two chapters, Aloha (on Oahu in Honolulu) and Hawai'i Loa (on the Big Island of Hawaii in Kamuelu) encourage new members, prospectives or transfers.  We plan to grow in membership, mind, body and spirit.
Those who are already DAR members help to cultivate, nurture, and reap the rewards of the fine crop of women who come before us today.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Nancy Wahineokai, Hawaii State Regent
Many of you have told me that you have been to Hawaii, plan to come to Hawaii, or just want to come.  Please do!
