1.ALMOST FAMOUS | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

An extremely funny, entertaining, heart-warming film by director/screenwriter Cameron Crowe (Jerry Maguire). This movie had me smiling from the begining to the end. Great cast with excellent breatrough peformances by Patrick Fugit, Billy Crudup and Kate Hudson. The screenplay by Crowe is excellent as well as his direction. Unquestionably, the best movie of the year.
2.TRAFFIC | ![]() |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Steven Soderbergh's "Traffic" is a powerful, exciting and very insightful film. It follows several storylines, each good enough to stand on it's own. Soderbergh does a great job with Stephen Gaghan's excellent Golden Globe-winning script. The wondeful performances by Michael Douglas, Benicio Del Toro, Don Cheadle, Luis Guzman, Catherine Zeta-Jones and the rest of the cast add to the power of this very important movie.

3.CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON | ![]() |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
What a wondrous movie! It contains all elements that make an excellent film: great story, fabulous cinematography, great cast and performances. Lets not forget the amazing action scenes and choreography that's one of the things that makes this film unique. Kudos to director Ang Lee for crafting an original, breath-taking film that puts most Hollywood movies to shame. | ![]() |

4.SNATCH | ![]() |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
While it's certainly not the best movie of the year, Snatch may be one of the coolest films ever. The cast is outstanding and the acting wondeful. Brad Pitt delivers a hilarious performance as gypsy boxer One Punch Mickey O'Neil, and Jason Statham is perfect as Turkish. Overall, Snatch is a fun, funny and definetly COOL movie that surpasses Guy Ritchie's previous film, "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". | ![]() |

Powerful, gripping movie by director Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner). Russel Crowe delivers another great performance but is outshined by Joaquin Phoenix who is excellent. The battle scenes are very entertaining. The way they were shot bothered some people, but it was OK with me. The story is truly poweful and Ridley Scott brings it to life. A great epic.
