Translation from PtNorms to gocad Triangulated Surface
PtNorms2trisurf
Transforms PtNorms data into
a gocad triangulated surface using the connectivity of some
other trisurf. Thus an original trisurf can be used to establish the
connectivity of points that were modeled or migrated from that surface.
Points that were originally neighbors are forced to
be neighbors in the output triangulated surface. Points that are lost
during migration or modeling, will cause holes in the final triangulated
surface.

General Information
PtNorms2trisurf Converts a PtNorms file into a gocad triangulated surface.
The spacial points specified by the PtNorms file can be related
to the vertices in the input trisurf by a relation file
giving the index of a point from the PtNorm file followed by
the index of the matching vertex in blank delimited columns.
If no in_relation arguement is specified, then the relation is
assumed to be the identity. That is the first PtNorms point is
associated with the first trisurf vertex and the second PtNorms point with
the second trisurf vertex. And so on.
Trisurfs are represented in "old gocad" format.
PtNorms2trisurf uses the
dds
I/O system.
