Special Forces
Not much is known on this elite force.  It comprises of paratroopers, commandos, marine commandos, underwater demolition, mountain elite, and recon force.  Bases in Pireaus, Crete and Thrace.  One of the world's best.  Two incidents have documented their ability.  The 1974 turkish invasion of Cyprus provided the force that goes by the code, 'Who dares wins' ('O Tolmon Nika') with the opertunity to shine, and to protect Christendom.  The Hellenic Special Forces supposedly scored the best kill ratio of all military history.  Also in 1996, The Imia incident, (where turkey intruded on Legal Hellenic Land), the MYK (Marine commandos or 'seals') deployed on Imia and adjacent islands.  The turks were monitored until a political solution was achieved, and the turks left.  The most impressive recent incident involved the anarchy in Albania in 1997, where a Greek MYK contingent, in a clandestine operation, took control, and secured the main Albanian port, while similtaneously rescuing Greek, Chinese, and Arab diplomats.
