DECLASSIFIED!!  The Hellenic Airforce released the tape of when Greek F-16s intercepted and recorded mock kills on two Turkish F-16s who "buzzed" a Greek C-130 carrying the Greek Defence Minister.  This clip from one Greek F-16 cockpit records both the visual and the audio of the kill.  1.1 MB - Special thanks to Manoulis Karouzos.    CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MOVIE.

The Hellenic Airforce is truly one of the greatest defence mechanisms in the world.  From intense constant training to unsung victories over the Hellenic Aegean skies, the Hellenic Airforce is a wonderfull asset.  The Hellenic Airforce too, is currently on a procurement plan.  It has just been announced that Hellas will first purchase 50 F-16 Block 50+ fighters and 15 Mirage 2000-5s to cover its immediate needs, and 90 Eurofighters for 2005 - 2010.  With a current inventory of;  F-16 Cs Ds, Mirage 2000s, A-7H Corsairs, F-4G Phantoms, and F-5s, the Hellenic Airforce is a major Air Power, not just in Eastern Europe, but also the world.
Air Intercept
Primarily achieved by the F-16Cs, Mirage 2000s, and F-5s (Close air support only).

Multi-Role
Never in short supply in the Hellenic Airforce.  The F-16D Block 50s and 50+s, the F-4E, and soon the Eurofighter 2000 'Typhoon'.  The Mirage 2000s also perform anti-ship roles with the Excocet missile.

Attack
A very formidable arsenal.  The A-7H packs the most punch, while the F-16Ds give presise presision on their attacks.  The F-4E also plays its part and the F-16 - 50s performs SEAD roles with HARM missiles.

Helicopters and Transport
Fast, efficient, and in large numbers.  Hellenic transport craft are known for their speed and versatility.  From getting infantry in or out to dropping supplies, the Hellenic Airforce has it covered.  Attack Helicopters like the Apache also contribute to the punch.
