| Congratulations to Causmos, winner of the 2007 Cup Winners Cup! Causmos defeated Locomotive Baltimore 16-11 in the final. Causmos qualified for the Cup Winners Cup through the Nationwide FA Cup. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 16 tournaments participating in this season's CWC. Heresy House won an unprecedented 3 of the qualifying tournaments to claim the top seed and a first round Bye. Mohawks, winner of the Mug and second seed, also gains from Heresy's achievement by getting a first round Bye. The remaining teams have been seeded by Cup ADPR and the tournament schedule is now available. The list of silversmiths for the Silversmiths Cup is available and the tournament is now complete. Participating cup news (updated 8/21) American Association Cup - Heresy House defeated Cartman 2546 by a 25 to 8 margin in the final. The AAC earned a 48 ADPR. Crew Fans Cup - Jolly Roger stomped FC Sterling 63 to 24 to claim the trophy. The ADPR is set at 3. New Belgium Cup - Table Mountain Range edged City Hazmats 2 to 1 in the final. The ADPR for the New Belgium Cup was 0. KC Wizards MFLS Cup - "I am beating you" failed to beat KC Husker as the Huskers won a tie-breaker to claim the trophy. The ADPR is set at 5. The Black & The Red FA Cup - Locomotive Baltimore crushed Bondra+Moreno=Awesome 35 to 2 in the final. The tournament ADPR is 5. USA vs World International Cup - Hotspur earned a trip to the CWC after a tense 19 to 16 final against BioDiesel. The cup's ADPR is 11. All-American Premier League Open Cup - Heresy House earned his second piece of CWC qualifying hardware with a narrow 17 to 14 victory over Stonebury United. The AAPL Open Cup earned a 10 ADPR. Mug'O'Suds Invitational - Hesitation on a quiz question cost Top Shelf as Mohawks answered first to break a scoreless tie in the Final. The Mug earned a 52 ADPR, highest of all tournaments leading into the CWC. Brew City FA Cup - Phoenix TS pulled out a one point victory over Weirder Bremen in the Final (23-22) . The BCFA Cup's 21 ADPR was the highest ADPR among divisional Cups. MFLS Open Cup - Heresy House collected an unprecedented 3rd CWC qualifying trophy after defeating FC Epikoinos 17-7 in the Open Cup Final. The Open Cup's 43 ADPR, along with Heresy's victories in the AAC & AAPL virtually ensure him the top seed in the CWC. RevMFLS Cup - Halmstad Swedes emerged victorious from the largest of the division tournaments after defeating Greenwave 21 to 11 in the Final. The RevMFLS Cup earned a 19 ADPR. Division of Great Significance River Cup - Fallen Champs trounced Birchfield Tuesday 40 to 15 in the final. The DoGS River Cup finished with a 14 ADPR. Silversmiths Cup - Mohawks, top seed coming into the playoffs, was unable to break the curse of top seed (no top seed has ever won the Silversmiths). Alewive handily defeated Mohawks 31 to 8 in the final. The Silversmiths ADPR is 10. Nationwide FA Cup - Causmos, winner of the 2005 Nationwide FA Cup, successfully reclaimed the trophy after a tight 36 to 31 victory over Rivendell. The tournament ADPR is set at 14. Casbah Cup - VfB Blitzkrieg dominated 1 FC Red Devils 56 to 16 in the final of the oldest known division tournament in MFLS. The ADPR of the Casbah Cup is 0. Jolly Franklin Cup - The newest tournament to the CWC was claimed by Murder City FC after a 36 to 15 victory over Real United FC Athletic in the final. The cup's ADPR is 0.
