August 2006 - Croatia |
Daisy visited Croatia, which is quickly becoming THE place to visit in Europe. I was a little confused exactly where Croatia is located - I thought it was on the other side of Siberia. It turns out it is just next door to Italy and it enjoys dazzling blue waters on the coast. |

Daisy visiting the ocean town of Dubrovnik. She was a little disappointed when she realized that this town is on the Dalmatian Coast, but that it didn't mean there were dogs everywhere! |

While it is peaceful and stable now, there are still some reminders of Croatia's troubled past... |

Daisy was told not to take this sign literally (I mean, why would tanks be okay but guns not okay??) It's basically saying if you are going to fight, bring out the real weapons! |

But mostly Croatia is a beautiful country and some of the areas are still very rural. |
