About canine Freestyle

NCC Canine Freestyle consists of 3 levels, similar to other events, a dog must complete each level separately before it can gain the FSCh. title.
Dog and owner compete as a team by completing a freestyle "dance" to music.

Routines must be set to music and are to be no longer than 3 minutes. They must contain the required number of moves to pass the level.

Level 1 - 2/4 needed to pass
  • Right or left side heelwork
  • Frontwork
  • Turns or pivots
  • Circles, serpentines or spirals

Level 2 - 4/6 needed to pass
  • Right and left side heelwork
  • Frontwork
  • Turns or pivots
  • Circles, serpentines or spirals
  • Backing
  • Lateral work right or left

Level 3 - 5/8 needed to pass
  • Right and left side heelwork
  • Frontwork
  • Turns and pivots
  • Circles, serpentines or spirals
  • Backing
  • Lateral work right and left
  • Pace changes
  • Distance work
