GEARBOX POSITION

 

 

I used a scissor jack to push the engine/gearbox forward, you will also need to lower the engine to get the best possible position. Double check that everything is clear and uncoupled. On the bulkhead side of the gearbox between 2 of the lower nuts is a recess to get a screwdriver in to crack the join, when you are ready to lift out you have to allow for the return shaft that goes back through to the transfer box, you need about 6-7 inches to clear (you can see from the pics how long it is). And with one bound, the gearbox was free!
