I initially supported the engine from the centre, but as you can see from the photo it's now supported at the outside eye. You need to do this to allow the gearbox to lower far enough to come out. Because the engine will lower quite a way,several vacuum and water pipes will come under stress. There's a couple at the back to something attached to the bulkhead, and the small water pipe at the radiator. Just keep checking as you lower. Temporarily you can put a small jack under the gearbox while you remove the last gearbox mount.
