Faith
Faith is a complete trust and more specifically an intellectual assent to a loving God and His revelation. Faith is a grace, a risk, reasonable, certain, a virtue, requires a free human response, and seeks understanding. Faith makes sense. We don’t believe in God blindly. If God created us, he wouldn’t expect us to believe in him by ignoring the brain he gave you. He created us with ours brains so that we could make the choice ourselves in order to achieve real love. Faith is beliefs supported by reason. We need to believe in something in order to live. It is part of our human nature. We need to have faith in something. God is the best choice.
Secular definition of faith- This kind of faith means allegiance to duty or a person. It is faith in the everyday sense, non-religious sense. In this way, faith means complete trust. It is believing in something even though you do not have absolute certainty that you are correct. It is a calculated risk.
The Catholic definition of faith- Faith to Catholics is an intellectual assent to a loving God and His revelation. It is much more than simply and act of trust. It has seven main characteristics:
1) Faith is a grace- Faith is a gift from God.
2) Faith requires a free human response- We have to accept faith in God through our own free will in order to achieve real love.
3) Faith is a risk- Sometimes faith takes sacrifices and changes your life significantly.
4) Faith is reasonable- Faith is worth it.
5) Faith is certain- We make decisions based on faith.
6) Faith seeks understanding- God wants us to know his true nature.
7) Faith is a virtue- Faith is based on reason. Faith is having morals.
The Golden Way- We cannot escape the necessity of believing in something. The middle ground between radicalism and nihilism is faith. Radicalism is beliefs without reasons. Nihilism is reason without faith. Therefore, faith is beliefs supported by reason. It’s the way to go!

Did God give us free will because he desires for us to know his true nature and to love him for who he really is with real love?
I now have a better understanding of way and the Golden Way. I can now explain better to some of my friends that are atheists how faith is the best option. How anything but faith, beliefs supported by reason, doesn’t make any sense.
