Waiting in silence for their girls and boys!
They've been here all night since St. Nick dropped them off!
The big bike he brought for Tommy is covered up with a cloth!
This place is SO quiet - they all wonder at this!
Somehow this is different - is THIS what Christmas is?
Could Santa have "goofed" and picked the wrong night?
Where are the children? - this just doesn't seem right!
The beautiful Evergreen is dressed in its bright Christmas wear!But it's ever SO dark - no twinkling lights there!
The toys sit there and think about this a long, long time!
Then the sun starts to come up--6:00 A.M. the clock chimes!
All of a sudden, the whole house comes to life!
Down the stairs come the children, the husband, the wife!
The children are squealing, their excitement goes wild!
The toys are so happy - - they NOW belong to a child!
That's what ALL toys dream of, in case you didn't know!
To see the happiness and joy - of a child's "special" glow!!
