A very brief autobiography
Born in the rumbling hills of Jamaica, West Indies, realization of my culture was firmly beaten into my bones. For many years, I lived in the country with my grandparents and played in the red dirt, milked cows, and fed goats as part of my daily routine. School was a breeze and the need for a challenge was prevalent. So, I migrated to the United States in 1990 to live with my parents and resided in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Queens. As a young man destined for greatness, I thank all the "little people" who have gotten me to where I am today.(I'm the man, I KNOW. You don't have to tell me!)
I presently hold a job as the Teen Internet Mentor for the South Jamaica library. I assist children as as well as adults in using the internet. When someone comes in searching for something, I am elated when they leave with what they came for. Many times I am on the streets and I hear little voices saying, "Look there's the man from the library." Because of my love for children, my ambition is to be a pediatrician. I enjoy the feeling of warmth and fulfillment they bring. My favorite movie is Walt Disney's Hercules because I am inspired to Go the Distance and fulfill my goals.
